
Erin Florence Babbin is a filmmaker and image maker who believes in keeping it real.
Babbin continues her family’s tradition led by her great-grandfather’s home movies, grandmother's photography and mother's filmmaking. From a young age they brought her into their darkrooms and film sets, creating a foundation and passion for image making and storytelling.
Babbin studied documentary filmmaking at Columbia College and co-founded On The Real Film in 2011 with partner Michael Sullivan. Since then, On The Real Film’s work in cinema has screened internationally in Paris, New York, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Mumbai, Istanbul, York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Park City. Their latest feature length documentary project “Nuestra Herencia” premiered at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago in October 2022. Babbin’s latest international film project “BANSHEE” premiered at London Fashion Week 2023 and showcases her exploration of new creative directions and innovative world building.
